With Farve announcing his retirement, IMO this does to Minnesota what Lebron did to Cleveland. The question is which move is more damaging?

Lebron leaving crushed the entire city of Cleveland.
Favre retiring may have crushed the Vikings season.

Many argue that Lebron was selfish in his decision to milk his signing with Miami on ESPN and how it hurt loyal fans.

Shouldn't the same be said for Favre who waited until right before preseason to make his announcement? leaving the Vikings with literally no time to find an adaquete replacement.
