2013 Tycobbian Union Final 4 Series - Game Two at Central Park Stadium in Tuckanarra
Blue Jays Win First Two Games, Nudges Frogs 4-3
Playing at home, the Tuckanarra Blue Jays got another stout mound outing to slip past Fairfax 4-3 as Delaney Elliott (2-1 2.49) combined with closer Stephen Eubarinja to win for the second day in a row in the best-of-seven TU Final 4 Series. Elliott took a 4-2 lead into the ninth and needed help from Eubarinja. Elliott worked 8 and two-thirds innings and gave up 3 runs on 8 hits. Eubarinja got the final out after giving up a run-scoring single. Joe Hampton (0-1 3.91) went the distance for Fairfax and allowed 4 runs on 7 hits. C Yoshi Motsuzuki (.387) was 2-for-4 with 3 RBIs to lead Tuckanarra. Motsuzuki got his second home run of the postseason in the fourth inning to give the Blue Jays a 3-0 margin. Frog LF Phil Nelson (.222) narrowed the score to 3-2 with a two-run single in the top of the fifth. Motsuzuki's triple expanded the Tuckanarra lead to 4-2 in the bottom of the eighth frame.
