Thanks for the tips people! I know this is going to sound dumb, but I have no idea if my coaching/scouting is on. I know I pay 2.5 million a year for scouting lol. I think it's on, because from time to time, a scout comes back with a player he found. I hired a coach in the off season, but have no clue how to find anything out about him, so just hired the guy with the most experience, who now looks pretty bad. I loaded up my team with some talent, especially at key positions. Put the defenders with high ratings at those positions. I would fire Ozzie, but have no idea how to find out anything about somebody I would look to hire. I'm trying a new season now, my lineup seems pretty loaded (Brad Penny is my 5th starter in year 2011), so we will see what happens.

Also, I saw people saying to turn injuries on low, but for the life on me, I can't find anything to change the settings to do this. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Tyler

Scouting especially can put so much fog into player evaluation that it is a total crapshoot. Coaching not so much but bad coaches relative to the rest of the league, can reduce player development and output.

If you don't have S/C on critically compare your team to the successful teams. Check for player quality. Do you have highly rated players at key positions. Sometimes you'll be surprised. Check stats; ie players who over/under perform vs ratings. Is your defense good enough. I find that v11's defensive influence (a global setting) may be a bit too high.

Just my 2 cents.
