Just because the ACC voted to expand doe NOT mean its a done deal.
Having Rutgers (yep, the NYC market is crucial, don't ever think its not. Money, money, money) in the ACC along with BC, Syracuse and Miami was considered a 'done deal' at one point when Florida State joined. didn't happen then, won't happen now.
At most some schools will join the ACC for football only, and keep basketball as it is. It was only a few years ago that Va Tech was Big East in football only, A-10 for all else.
And the statement above about the Virginia legislature threatening UVA with reduced funding is blatantly untrue. What's true is that the Governor has come out and publicly asked the ACC to consider VT, but he's not that big a jackass to threaten Casteen with further budget cuts. He knows he needs to pressure the ACC, not UVA.
