Anyone know anything about the topic of user data path, as it relates to the Expert Settings box, loated in Preferences?

I just lost my entire Universe, because my user data path inadvertantly changed, but I can't figure out what it changed to. All I have left is the Main screen.

Any help/assistance from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
