So I am running into an interesting "opposite" problem. I've done a 1980 import with the Gambo/Spritze database and off the 713 total pitchers that imported (MLB and MiLB), only 120 of them even have a fastball as a pitch...

Also, I am using the 20-80 scouting scale and the ratings for the fastballs are pretty low, only 10 pitchers (!!) have a rating higher than a 45 for their fastball.

Not sure what would cause this strange import, I imported neutral stats...

Oh and I'm not saying this is a problem related to the database, I just haven't really paid much attention to this in the past. I only noticed because I had Nolan Ryan on the team I was going to take and he wasn't even rated for a fastball!!!

OK have an older 1994 MLB historical start with the Gambo/Sprtize and noticed the same thing, almost none of the pitchers in the league have a fastball!!! I quit this one before I was even through the all star break because the offensive #'s were very inflated, i.e. league batting avg was .301!!! Now I may know why...
