Boston Catches Chicago, Teams Tied for 1st Place
BOSTON, MA. June 17, 1915 - After taking four of five games from the Orphans in Chicago, and then taking the first thee games of their series with St. Paul, the Boston Americans have clawed their way into a first-place tie.
The club is 11-4 thus far in June, and the Orphans are just 5-10. This past week, the Orphans lost their star third-baseman Will Eberle, and he'll be out for yet another 4 weeks. They will need to overcome his absence or June is going to be a long, long month.
