Gable Superb Against Cleveland
BOSTON, MA. May 24, 1915 - Boston pitcher Bill Gable put on a show today and walked away with a 3-0 shutout victory over the Cleveland Green Sox, throttling them on 1 hit. He just cruised through their lineup, fanning 11 and walking 0 in a strong outing.
"He was very efficient and he hit his spots," his manager said. "He stayed down in the zone and stayed away from the middle of the plate."
For the year Gable has a 7-6 record with a 1.56 ERA in 14 starts.
