Monkeyman576 Wins In Professional Managerial Deubt, 5-3

It was a great day for Monkeyman576, who won in his minor league coaching debut with the Washington Nationals Rookie League Squad in a thrilling 5-3 victory.

The Cardinals took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, but the Nationals quickly responded with 3 runs in the second inning to make it 3-2. The Cardinals then tied the game at 3-3 in the 7th inning with a run, but the Nationals again showed their resiliancy by scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh. The Nationals bullpen showed their stuff for the final 2.2 innings and Washington improved to 1-0 on the season.

Vela, the Nationals shortstop and leadoff hitter was the standout individual hitter for Washington, going 3-5 with 3 RBI's. DH Jones had two hits and two RBI's as well.

D. Jones, the Nationals starter, went 6.1 innings and gave up 3 earned runs to earn the quality start. Raul Jarmillo got the nationals first save of the season.
