I hope you're right. Derek Jeter got his 3000th hit the week Tom signed his contract, and A-Rod and Jorge Posada are still hanging in there, too. Guys like Robinson Cano and Mark Texiera are younger, so they should still be on the scene when Tom arrives. And he could be saving victories for Phil Hughes and Joba Chamberlain well into the 2020s.
