Well, if you use Neutralized Stats, I believe you will get the adjusted ratings you are looking for. I am not entirely certain, but I believe Babe Ruth's ratings would adjust per player development, even if you have recalc turned on. Recalc would just look to see if Ruth had any stats in 2005. Since he didn't, player development would take over.
