If it doesn't change the outcome, why reverse it at all?
I'd say if it affects Win/Loss records (which, in reality is all that matters when it comes to playoffs/World Series chances), that's when it should matter.
A perfect game is great...sure. But it just goes into the record books. A loss, when you should have had a win, could affect playoff status.
