Sweet revenge for Williams

Danny Williams gained revenge on veteran Julius Francis to retain his British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles at the Wembley Conference Centre.
The 28-year-old stopped Francis in the third round when a left upper-cut caught Francis full in the eye socket. Francis, 36, sank, clearly in pain, and was counted out by referee Micky Vann. The former champion was taken to hospital with his eye fully closed.
Although the ending may have been unsatisfactory, it was a deeply satisfying win for Williams, who lost his British and Commonwealth belts in a shock defeat by Francis two years ago.
Williams said, "I'm very happy to have successfully held my titles."
