Here is what I want to do, and I can't quite figure it out....

I would like to start a historical league in 1871 but I want to expand the league and change names on my own terms, not automatically. I think I have this part figured out.

Also, and more importantly, I want the schedule to be 162 games every year and have the team strategies and league wide stats use the year 2000 settings. I'm OK with adding some fictional players in the early years to round out rosters if I need to.

Is this possible to set up? I want to replay the history of baseball, but I want to be able to directly compare stats from one generation to the next, which is why I want every season to run under the settings of the year 2000 (or whatever arbitrary year I choose).

If anybody can explain it, please note that I never ran a historical league before, so the more specific you can be on where to go to change settings, the better.
