fine talk about "hustle"

where was the center fielder who's job it was to be backing up that play, he may not have been able to get there but he should have at least been in the picture... oh yeah, he was still standing out in CF.

and how about that LF guy, who should have filled into the vacated defensive assignment but stood there watching the play. i don't know if it's lack of "hustle" or lack of brainpower but he has a defensive assignment on that play and i am pretty sure it's not to stand and watch.

what no bad mouthing these guys?

and he did foul a ball off his ankle the the inning before so going full bore and trying to plant with all that pressure may not have been the brightest idea anyway considering he had no chance to get the runner at home and IF he "hustles" full bore, doesn't roll his ankle when he plants AND makes a perfect throw he MAY have had a shot at the runner at 3rd.

you can have your guys who hustle all the time, give me guys who play smart and while your guys are spraining, twisting & breaking things for minimal gain we'll be picking our spots and still be healthy at the end of the season.
