March 10, 1980 - Congress Theater, Chicago, IL, USA. We have a wonderful fight on tap tonight, as Chicago’s own, undefeated, Hubert Hood faces off against top prospect, Joe Louis. Louis opens up early and often in the 1st round and opens up a cut under Hood’s right eye with a slicing left jab. Louis is relentless in his attack and keeps targeting the gash under Hood’s eye. Hood eats a left jab after several hard shots and is on his way down when the ref steps in and stops the fight.
