Efrain Pintor vs Alex Becerra - Becerra showed suprising heart, getting up from 4 knockdowns before the 5th took him out in the 12th round. He kept the fight close however, being behind 6-4 on both my card and Tom Trunzo's. The judges had it 6-4, 6-3
and 7-3 for Pintor.

Victor Rabanales vs Armando Diaz - After splitting the first 4 rounds, Rabanales took over winning each round. In the 7th he scored the first knockdown, then near the end of the 8th he scored the 2nd one for the 10 count!

Roberto Rubaldino vs Oswaldo Guerrero - A dominating performance by Rubaldino despite a bad gash on the inside of his left eyebrow due to an accidental butt. He opened a cut with a wicked hook over the right eye of Guerrero that forced the fight to stop in the 7th round as a TKO on cuts. I had it 6-0 Rubaldino while Rocco Del Sesto had it 5-1. The judges had it 5-1, 3-3 (?) and 6-0.

Heriberto Ruiz vs Ricardo Martinez - Ruiz dominated in this abbreviated bout battering Martinez in the 1st round opening a nasty gash on the bridge of his nose. He continued to target the cut, reopening it again in the 2nd and finally in the 3rd for the TKO on cuts.

Julio Zarate vs Jose Sarabia - Zarate was in complete control, despite a cut over his right eye that nearly ended the fight in the 3rd round. It was a cut on the hairline of Sarabia that ended the fight in the 5th for the TKO. Both Markus Heinsohn and I had it 3-1 for Zarate through 4 rounds. All 3 judges had it 3-1 as well.

Cuauhtemoc Gomez vs Miguel Martinez - Martinez went down in the 2nd and 4th, and never truely recovered as Gomez decimated him in the 5th round before the referee ended the bout for the safety of Martinez with 56 seconds remaining in the 5th.

Kid Irapuato vs Francisco Mateos - Irapuato did a good job of keeping Mateos off balance forging a lead when in the 14th round he scored a knockdown early on then with 1:04 seconds left Mateos opened a cut over Irapuato's eye that didn't look all that bad, yet the doctor inexplicitly ordered the fight halted handing Mateos the unearned and unfair 14th round TKO win! I had it 8-5 Irapuato while Shane Macleod had it 10-3.

German Ohm vs Francisco Paredes - Ohm dominated, scoring 4 knockdowns and taking a 7-1 lead on my card and 6-2 on Shane Macleod's with constant pressure. It cost him however as both of his eyes were badly swollen and a nasty cut on the bridge of his nose just wouldn't stay closed, forcing the upset TKO in the 11th round! The judges had it 6-2, 6-3 and 5-4 through 11.

Ricardo Vargas vs Jorge Salazar - Tough bout to score as neither man put out a stellar effort in this one. It didn't matter however as Vargas, after barly surviving a 9 count knockdown in the 1st round opened a cut later in the round that was a continuing problem for Salazar until finally it burst open in a shower of blood forcing the TKO stopage in the 7th.

Rafael Herrera vs Eloy Sanchez - Classic Boxer-Puncher bout that saw Herrera take a commanding lead through the 11th round only to have it all go up in ashes when a cut on the hairline reopened to force the 12th round TKO win for Sanchez. Both Don Koss and I had it 8-3 for Herrera as his boxing was far more effective than the slugging Sanchez. All 3 judges were in agreement at 8-3 as well.

Rodolfo Martinez vs Manuel Sarabia - Dominating performance by Martinez despite some stellar work by Sarabia (Round 9 was a round of the year caliber round.) Both men worked inside with abandon and both men sported shiners on their right orbs. Both Ian Lord and I were in agreement that Martinez dominated 13-2 for the decision. The judges had it 13-2, 10-5, 12-3 for Martinez.

Chucho Castillo vs Carlos Madrigal - Entertaining slugfest that went back and forth through the first 4 rounds until Madrigal caught Castillo coming in with a sweet uppercut to lay him out like a Christmas goose for the 10 count!
