LaCoss at His Best, Blanks St. Louis
Monday, May 18th, 2015: "That's one thing that has never changed in this game -- pitching can control hitting," the Knights manager told reporters after today's game.

The Tides ran into a buzzsaw as Mike LaCoss cut them down to size 6-0 with a 4-hit shutout.

His skipper added, "He knows exactly what he's doing. He's not going to throw you a good pitch until you make him throw one."

In the complete game whitewash the New Orleans hurler doled out 2 walks and registered 4 strikeouts.

In the postgame press conference his catcher said, "Mike goes out there and just goes about his business. I don't think he gets too concerned about what's going on. You can call any pitch and you know where he's going to be."

LaCoss also got some praise from the St. Louis manager.

"He really kept us in check today. Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away... we took some pathetic swings."

To date this season LaCoss has compiled a 3-5 record with a 3.68 ERA in 8 starts.
