Yeah, I remember bringing up Jackson at that time too. I remember saying it not in conjunction with any other part of the off-season moves, though. Just wistfully wishing that the Yankees could have held onto him to see what he could become. This could really get ugly if he becomes a real "Action Jackson," Granderson is only mediocre and not healthy, and Vazquez continues in meltdown.

Point, but I think thom was saying that having done nothing over the offseason, we could be looking at Jackson in left and Gardner (thank goodness they held onto him) in center, with Cabrera battling Swisher for right. Without Vazquez mucking up the rotation, we could have Chamberlain in #5 (although I don't entirely agree with that either). With Granderson on the DL, Vazquez in freefall, and Swisher in a slump, this is not looking good at all right now.
