Buxtuc Madu shows an ERA of 5.47 over six seasons. We probably should have sent him down to AA several years ago but feared running afoul of Title VII or, God forbid, the ACLU. He's from Zululand.

Hickman, on the other hand better shape up pronto.

...which the LF drops (this happens a bit too much in the OOTP universe)
Prior to Ver9 infielders in OOTP infield errors were inevitably flubs resulting in a single base for the hitter. This was improved subsequently. Now infielders, particularly as the defensive spectrum moves from right to left, will overthrow 1B and the batter takes an additional base.

In the outfield, however, the game seems to strive to produce accurate fielding numbers at the expense of reflecting how most errors occur there; namely misplayed hits and errant throws on cut-off attempts. There are still too many dropped flies, imo- a relatively rare occurrence. In Bowman's example, this more plausibly should have been a single to LF that took a wicked hop and went throw the left-fielder's legs or a wild throw to home into the box seats producing one earned run and one unearned run.
