Yes, he was lots of laughs but he had a mean streak too. If he didn't like a fighter he'd refer to him with a nasty monicker. For instance, when it was announced that Ray Mancini was going to defend his title against the ill-fated Duk Koo Kim, Flash, declaring it a mismatch, would only to refer to Kim as "Piece of Sh--". Nobody apparently knows what happened to Flash. He just kind of disappeared off the face of the Earth.
