Just remember if you turn scouting off you lose the 'fog of war' and you always see the players true ratings. It takes the mystery out of it. Nothing wrong with turning it off if you don't like the feature. You can also raise the scouting accuracy so you are less likely to get huge changes in your scout's opinons.

Also, scouts tend to do better at evaluating those with major league experience as opposed to players in the amateur draft.
