If I understand the question, the answer is no. There are people who have been playing with 1-year recalc, but the conventional approach is 3-year. Exception would be people who create a Single-Season Replay game, and then decide to continue into a second season or something.
Or is this about the use of the words "real stats" or because it says "each year" which makes it sound like 1 year recalc. Just fishing here ...
