First off, you may have scouting on and that may lead your scout to think he's not as highly rated as he is in the underlying ratings. Second, take a look at these projection engine predictions of his stats in 2010 at the MLB level: they're not particularly superb.

Additionally, overall ratings are notoriously rough on 1Bs unless they have absolutely amazing hitting ratings and potential.
