I totally agree with both of you.
Here's the funny thing, I know of a guy that just can't stand OOTP because it is developed by a German who just doesn't get the nuances of the game because he didn't grow up with it

Yet whenever I've asked for examples of what the hell he means I never get an answer, just wow.
