HIT PARADE STILL SEES ANGELS WIN
Quite a day at Fenway Park especially for the batsman. Fenway always was and always will be a hitters paradise and so was the case in game two of this series where 33 hits were belted out in the 12-9 2002 Angels win. The Angels lead this series now 2 games to none.
Neither Ramon Ortiz or Buck Obrien could really get anyone out and the Angels especially took an 11-3 lead before the home side made a real run at things. Troy Glaus hit a three run home run in the 5th and Tim Salmon drove in 4 runs on the day as the Angels didnt looked fooled by anyhting thrown at them. Clyde Engle had three runs driven in and a home run but the Red Sox could never get really close again and Russ Ortiz stuck through things past the 8th inning even though he had allowed 16 hits.
Anaheim has really pushed aside any thoughts that they are an overrated side and going back to California for game 3 they have scored another win for modern day baseball.
