Got the email this morning Bear, thank you. Haven't had the chance to look at it yet, but feeling like a kid in a candy shop, cant wait to unzip the file. Just got home from work and need to get some sleep so that I can wake up and watch the fight before I go back to work tonight.
Looks like we will probably have the draft done by the end of the weekend. Once all the picks are in and the stables are completed, I am going to finish cleaning up and populating all the regions (specifically where there is a promotional fighter involved). I have been adding more tomato cans (quickly generated and not tested), and mid-level fighters that I have asked John Dewey to rate in his thread (have added over 1,000 fighters in less than a week). I will start the random selection of the 25% of the fighters that I am going to put in the universe, will run the two years (1978, 1979) and then will start to post the lists. Still thinking about the point system. And I like the idea of adding extra time off for knockdowns in a fight from the management thread by aaaaaaaaaa. I will post a list of the fictional fighters that were randomly chosen. I am also working with SAL/Scot, on a way to possibly make the scouting process a lot easier by generating a complete list of the universe or sending each of you the dat.files for the running universe. We will see on the last part. Any other suggestions? I want to make this as enjoyable as possible so that there is continued, competitive interaction without getting so complicated that I struggle to maintain an organized, properly running universe. It seems to me that most of us are pretty much the same person (type A personalities, that enjoy statistical games, the accounting of the stats, organization and the actual details of the preparation). I think most of us have huge databases that we are always trying to clean up and prepare for the start of a universe. We probably spend more time getting everything ready then actually playing the sim!
