The Big Unit Delivers Game 1 Win
Randy Johnson was his same old dominant self taking the mound in Game 1 of this best of seven victory for the Diamond Backs. Johnson knew the key was to keep the quick Cardinal runners off the basebaths, and that hie did allowing only 4 hits and one run in the 3-1 victory.
Danny Cox had a good game for the Cardinals as well but the home side grew in confidence after Mark Grace and Damian Miller gave the Snakes a 2-0 lead going into the middle innings.
In many ways the game went exactly as everyone thought it would, now Curt Schilling is set to take his turn. A bitter pill to face after Johnson.
