I have finally moved on from 1901 to 1902. I know you can auto-play through years and years very quickly but I am intentionally taking my time with this since I am doing it for no one but myself, heh.
I'm not really rooting for any franchise but I am "playing" as the Baltimore Orioles (eventually to be the Yankees). Went 63-77 and did pretty poorly, I guess!
1. Under Manager Options and Team Control Settings, I have the AI controlling everything. Sometimes between games I use the "Ask manager/bench coach" for lineups, pitching, setting up the lineups/depth charts, etc. Do I need to be doing this at all, and if so, how often?
2. As I said before, this is a Historical League starting in 1901... just with the real players removed and fictional players added. Are the real minor leagues ever going to appear? I noticed that the Cleveland Blues have become the Cleveland Bronchos, the Brewers became the STL Browns, etc. When I first added the minor leagues (AAA, AA, A, etc.) they were obviously generated on the spot. Will the real leagues/teams ever form on their own?
3. To add to the "realism" I am using sepia portraits and uniforms/logos from the time period. I am curious... As time progresses and I change uniforms and logos to match time period, and go from sepia portraits to color, will those things change when I go to the History sections and look at the "old" home run leaders, greatest pitchers from the Deadball Era, etc.?
4. Anyone wanna guess at the facial hair thing?
