The question is... as soon as that monitor clicks off OR the HDD powers down OR the screen saver kicks on... it's going to kill OOTP every time. Does not matter if you are running off the battery or wall adapter. Does not matter if its OOTP 4 or OOTP 10.
IF that is the situation, it will kill OOTP every time.

Good point as even "mains" power settings could kick in if not set correctly.
