I will concur with the others that the problem likely stems from the computer shutting off mid-game. OOTP will not stand up to that. If you can't correct it, then you will repeatedly have problems.

Now when you say 'turns off', do you mean the power turns completely off (i.e. you overheated or ran out of battery) or just hibernates or goes to screen saver? It could be you just need to provide some better cooling.
