I'm not sure what's happening with the box scores, so I can't help you there. But you really expect the game to mirror real life exactly? Well, the scenario you described IS realistic, it's called a slump and a surge. Because a player is a .300 hitter, does that mean they're going to hit 3 for 10 every 10 at bats? No way. And anyway, wasn't JJ Hardy Supposed to be an all-star caliber hitter this year? Didn't you see how that turned out?
I have no clue what you're saying here. Is it possible you're clicking the button that sims the entire game?
This annoys me too, but I actually think it inspires me to use the shop player feature more, since multi-player deals are easier to rip the game off in. And anyway, you can shop player to see who's interested, and then add players to the trade from there.
This mimics real life. We have had plenty of huge discussions about this (i'll find a thread in a little bit) and we determined that in real life it's the same, with teams having to open a roster spot, take the player off of the DL, and then they can do what they choose. Really you can just demote a young player, activate the player, demote/whatever him, and call up the young player again.
