Rehab seems like an extra procedural step that not necessary. Because if it were an option, everybody would send needed players to rehab. It's just an extra step. It would be like, during free agency, you make a player an offer, then the player accepts the offer, then you have to click a button to send the player a contract and wait for him to sign it and send it back to you. But we don't have to do those extra steps, in a sense, its taken care of in the background.

Same thing with injuries. When we get the message that a player will be out for 3 months. It's not that on that last day of the third month he's laying in bed unable to move and the next day he walks right out of the hospital and into the lineup. That 3 months covers what ever medical attention he needs, what ever rest he needs and what ever rehab he needs. When he comes back he's 100%. Instead of stepping us through the process, we just get the message that the player is ready.

The only way we'd need this is if they are allowing players to come back at less than 100%. i'm guessing this would be a pain to a lot of people, especially online. i hear enough complaints from guys that forget to protect players for the rule v draft and forget to make offers for salary arbitration.
