Vincenzo Cantatore vs Pietro Aurino - Aurino scored 3 knockdowns to Cantatore's 1, including one in the 15th that saw Cantatore saved by the bell! It went to the judges who scored it 8-7, 9-6, 8-7 in what was a close fight yet still a controversial unanimous decision for Vincenzo Cantatore!

Massimiliano Duran vs Giacobbe Fragomeni - Fragomeni outboxed Duran in a dull boxer vs boxer matchup that saw neither man down. Fragomeni did more than enough to win 10-5, 9-6, 10-5.

Final:

Vincenzo Cantatore vs Giacobbe Fragomeni - Cantatore suffered a cut high on his forehead from an accidental clash of heads in the 2nd round that reopened in the 7th round to send it to the judges. Fragomeni scored the fight's lone knockdown in the 3rd round. It was a controversial decision to stop the bout as Cantatore nearly had Fragomeni out on his feet. The judges scored it 3-3, 4-2 Fragomeni and 3-3 even for a majority draw.

Rematch:

Vincenzo Cantatore vs Giacobbe Fragomeni - Fragomeni survived a 3rd round knockdown then built up a solid lead by using the entire ring, moving in and out in adroit fashion and working side to side as needed to befuddle Cantatore. Cantatore mounted a furious assault in the last 3 rounds but it wasn't enough to do the job as the judges all scored it 9-6 for Giacobbe Fragomeni. He now moves on to the World Tournament.
