Quarter-Finals:

Tom Sharkey vs Colin Kenna - Sharkey used a huge right cross to dispatch Kenna at 2:48 in the 1st round. this was his 2nd straight KO in a round fight!

Con O'Kelly vs Kevin McBride - This was a simply awe inspiring action bout between the darkhorse McBride and the huge favorite O'Kelly. The 5th round was back and forth action throughout, the stuff that legends are made from! (or at least round of the year...) In the end McBride punched himself out, and in the 8th round O'Kelly hurt McBride early and often until the referee ended this great bout!

Bartley Madden vs Peter Maher - Madden and Maher were putting on a good entertaining bout, despite the rash of fouls throughout. In the 14th round however, with Madden up 6-4, 5-5, 6-5 the referee had seen enough when Madden buried a blatant low blow that sent Maher crashing to the canvas. Madden was rightfully disqualified handing Maher the win!

Jim Coffey vs Martin Rogan - Action bout with lots of infighting back and forth gave us several great rounds, though neither man went down. It went to the score cards and the judges saw it 8-7, 7-8, 8-7 for the winner by split decision Coffey!
