TU Trounces RU Stars 14-6
It's getting embarrassing - for the seventh time in eight years the Tycobbian All-Stars have toppled the Ruthlandian All-Stars. This year the TU Stars demolished the RU Stars 14-6 with a 19-hit barrage at Winchester Park in Oxford. 2B Todd Chadwick (Ozarka) led the way with four hits and four runs scored to cop the MVP award. LF Bernie Valente (White River) and 1B Harlan Roscoe (Colchester) drove in three runs apiece and CF Wayne McDonald (Oxford) and C Benny Walker (Colchester) had two RBIs each.

Tycobbia held a 6-4 lead after two frames and then sealed the verdict with six more in the sixth. Chet Kramer (Rolling Hills) got credit for the victory with a scoreless third inning, while starter Jasper LaForge (Colfax) took the loss. LaForge was shelled for six runs in his two innings, although only two were earned. SS Scooter Perez (Kilkenny) topped the Ruthlandian Stars 12-hit attack with three hits and LF Lou Gdowski (Valmara) had two RBIs. There were no homers in the game.

Ruthlandia's only win came in 2002. They edged Tycobbia 5-4.
