I do like the chronological calendar idea. A few years ago I tried one of the "Boxing Manager" games that was going around. The game was not that great. No where as good as TBCB, but it did have that calendar feature where you moved to the "next day". As it did move to the next day, you got emails from "promoters, trainers, etc" offering advice, insight and even fight offers from other fighters, etc.
That's kind of what I am talking about when I say that I'd like to see the in game progression be a little more like the baseball game (ootp). I don't want to control EVERY fighter in the game, just mine. Does that make sense?
