I have been over it. The main problem is that the game is just too damn slow. With most other sports, baseball included, you can get unbroken action for 15-20 minutes (or longer).
American football both pro and college is short bits of action split up by nearly infinite numbers of commercial breaks. They grind down my enthusiasm to watch a game pretty quickly.
