England - Lightweight - Fight-In
We have 38 Lightweights looking to enter the World Tourney, so will have 6 Fight-In bouts.
Fight-Ins:
Sailor Bourne vs Bill Baxter - Bourne was too much for baxter, landing 102 out of 132 punches before scoring the KO in the 2nd round.
William Faucett vs Sam Blakelock - Adequate offense and decent defense allowed Faucett to dominate Blakelock over 15 rounds of uninspiring boxing. Faucett won 11-2, 11-3, 11-3.
Ted Ware vs Dave Wallace - Ware was moving well, building up points until he zigged when he should have zagged, moving right into a right hook that laid him out for the count in the 9th. He was up 4-3, 4-3, 5-2 in a good action bout.
Sid Stagg vs Jim Prior - Stagg out quicked Prior throughout the fight, scoring seemingly at will in his 10-5, 10-5, 11-4 decision.
Harry Kimberley vs Paddy Lee - Slow pacing and inaccurate punching by both men in this one. Kimberley wins 8-5 on all 3 cards.
James Curran vs Pat Daly - Curran survived a bad cut with the help of excellent help from his corner to hold off Daly 6-6, 7-6, 9-4.
