England - Welterweights Quarter-Finals

Quarter-Finals:

Ted Kid Lewis vs Dave Green - Lewis dominated this one despite losing 2 points to fouls on rounds he was going to win. Green was cut badly both over and under his left orb as well as over the right orb when it was stopped on cuts in the 15th with Lewis ahead 11-2, 9-3, 9-3.

Lloyd Honeyghan vs Bernie Terrell - This was close until the 5th round, when Honeyghan scored 4 knockdowns. Terrell got up from all 4 but was on his way down for a 5th when the referee stepped in and caught him to end the fight!

John H Stracey vs Ralph Charles - Stracey took the first 6 rounds with ease, frustrating Charles the entire time, leading to an obvious and totally blatant low blow that cost Charles the fight on a DQ.

Ernie Roderick vs Matt Wells - One sided yet dull affair that saw Roderick using his movement and faster hands to keep Wells at bay. Wells didn't show much skill in cutting Roderick off, and it showed in the scores, 11-3, 14-1, 12-3 for Roderick.
