Caution and coordination. For all the screaming about problems

y,
z, they just may not affect a particular league that much to rush into a patch.
There's no critical fixes in the patch (as in the game can no longer runs). If there were, my league wouldn't have been able to play since 10.2.16 was released.
If you ever patch any game or software, whether it be OOTP, Windows XP, Microsoft Word or Civ IV, if you're the first person to apply the patch you're also the first person that can experience the latest issues.
So the organized, patient leagues wait to see what everyone else finds out in the mad rush to apply the patch. Good strategy, eh?
