RICHMOND, VA - Richmond Professional Baseball has announced that the Richmond Hush Puppies has been selected as the "wild card" entry and sixth candidate in the contest to name the Eastern League franchise beginning play at The Diamond in 2010.
The fi ve original fi nalists (Flatheads, Flying Squirrels, Hambones, Rhinos, and Rock Hoppers) were chosen from a pool of more than 6,000 entries from fans during an on-line entry period which ran from September 23rd - 30th.
