A crushing loss for the Rangers, as they led 7-2 going to the bottom of the 9th in Game 6, but gave up five runs as Vancouver tied the game. The Canucks later won in extra innings. Then, the Rangers lost a scoreless game in the 12th inning of Game 7. So the Rangers are still stuck on five titles. They also lost in the Finals in 1977 and 1979, both times to Kings.

As for Vancouver, they won a miracle Stanley Cup Championship. The Canucks have won titles in 1928, 1947, 1950, 1951, 1957, and 1981. Vancouver has won the third most Stanley Cups, behind only Los Angeles (7) and Hartford (15).
