That is only an issue if the manager doesn't understand how 7 day lineups work in the game. If you are only simming 7 days at a time and you use 7 day lineups, you should be fine.
The issue is if you sim more than 7 days but use a 7 day lineup, you then are telling the AI to use your 7 day lineup, and then continue from the normal pitching rotation once the 7 days are up. Usually however most managers don't think far enough ahead to set the rotation to the correct pitcher and then the AI goes crazy trying to find a rested pitcher to use as a starter.
All you need to do is figure out who your next pitcher should be on day 8 (the day after the 7 day lineups are done), and set your next pitcher to that pitcher and you'll be fine.
