You ask a difficult question. That's like trying to compare the differences between a Ford Model T and a 2007 Ford Mustang.
- the interfaces are vastly different; v10's interface is a continuation and evolution of the interface introduced with v2006; although v10's interface is as advanced and different than v2006's as v2006's was than v6.5
- the layout of the screens is quite different; v10 adds a lot more detail and presents more than twice as much information as v6.5, on a per-screen basis
- v10 has about five times the number of features than v6.5: game replays, FaceGen player pictures; much more full-featured minor leagues; the concept of a "league" being a whole "universe" in which many major leagues can operate in parallel; a mature geographical system, which places leagues in a certain country, which maintains its relationship with other countries based on their "baseball quality" ratings and their physical proximity
- the statistical engine is much more advanced, subtle, and customizable; the game is also capable of annually adjusting league statistical output, to match the real-life statistical fluctuations of major-league baseball
- the actual execution of gameplay and AI behavior, when managing games, is more intelligent and true to real-life philosophies, strategies, and situational behaviors and outcomes
- v10 has an in-game historical record-keeping and report generating capability that is miles ahead of v6.5; if you know what CatoBase was, picture a more-advanced, built-in CatoBase
And those things are about 10% of the total amount of differences between the games. They're so different, it's difficult to compare the two. It would be much easier to explain the differences between v6.5 and v2006; then, to explain the differences between v2006 and v7; then, between v7 and v8; etc.
