If the AI is calling the plays for your team as well as the other team, there is no difference in what happens (although if you read these forums enough, you will find that there are some who believe otherwise). There is also no difference between pitch-by-pitch or one-pitch. The results are going to be the same.
If you are intervening to make the calls in any aspect of the game (for example, taking charge of the offense), then it's a different story. In general, you should be able to "out-think" the AI, but there is certainly no guarantee of that (as I can certainly testify
)
