Three Rivers Turn Around - A Pittsburgh Pirates Dynasty
On September 7, 2009, the Pittsburgh Pirates set the record for most consecutive losing seasons, 17, by a franchise in any of the 4 major US sports leagues. OOTPX has been used to sim the 2009 season up to the point where the Pirates lose their 82nd game. It is at this point where this dynasty begins. Everything posted in this dynasty is fictional. Thanks for reading.

It was history in the making last night in Houston for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Unfortunately, this is not the type of history you want your team to be making. With their 82nd loss of the 2009 season, the Pittsburgh Pirates have cemented their 17th consecutive losing season. This is the longest such streak among the 4 major US sports, surpassing the 16 year mark set by the Philadelphia Phillies from 1933-48.
Pittsburgh Pirates ownership are expected to submit a press release later today. An anonymous source has told the Post-Gazette that a shake up is being made at the top of the organization.
