That was a pretty cool storyline, EM. It was sad to see Oscar miss out but I agree that it was best you didn't interfere. It's better to let the game play it out and accept the result.
It reminds me of the Australian cricketer Don Bradman, who only needed to score four runs in his final test match inning to finish with a career average of 100. He was out for 0 and finished with an average of 99.94.
