Sugar Ramos vs Marino Gonzalez - Ramos had little trouble with Gonzalez scoring a pair of knockdowns, the final one in the 6th for the KO.

Miguel Acevedo vs Eugene Garcia - Acevedo scored the fight's lone knockdown and dominated the rest of the way for a 12-2, 11-3, 11-3 decision.

Ciro Morasen vs Jose Legra - Legra scored a knockdown enroute to his upset victory over Morasen. The judges scored the fight 13-2, 10-5, 11-4.

Semi-Finals:

Kid Chocolate vs Jose Legra - Chocolate scored a pair of knockdowns, the final one late in the 15th for the KO. He was well ahead on all 3 cards at the time of the stop.

Sugar Ramos vs Miguel Acevedo - Acevedo scored the lone knockdown then dominated the befuddled favorite Ramos to win 8-4, 8-4, 7-5. This upset ended the chance of the sweetest fight of all, Sugar & Chocolate.....

Final:

Kid Chocolate vs Miguel Acevedo - Acevedo used clever movement and an accurate attack to frustrate Chocolate early on then held on for what I thought would be a win (I had it 8-5 for Acevedo). The judges scored it 7-7 even, 7-6 Acevedo and 8-6 for Chocolate for a draw.

Rematch:

Kid Chocolate vs Miguel Acevedo - Last time Chocolate stalked Acevedo and was fortunate to earn the draw. This time he boxed Acevedo's ears off before scoring the KO in the 8th round. Chocolate moves on to the World Tourney as expected.
