Jason Heyward was traded on 4-4-09 for Fred Lewis, W. Rodriguez, O. Yntema, A. Kerth, and M. Grabham.
Logan Morrison came over along with P. Andrelcyzk, and J. Buente on 4-29-09 for E. Martinez-Esteve, G. Broshuis, B. Snyder, O. Odle, C. Corgan, D. Colliner, B. Medders, S. Klink, and C. Valentin.
Mike Moustakas was traded on 4-4-09 for C. Gillaspie, A. Hornostaj, S. Santos, T. Kline, D. Runzler (what a year he is having in real life), P. Oseguera, A. Reichard, R. Shaver, J. Shriner, and R. Alvarez.
Dayan Viciedo claimed on waivers on 8-4-09
Austin Jackson claimed on waivers on 7-2-09
Lou Marson for P. Martinez, B. Anderson, J. Lopez, J. Navarro, R. Lopez, and $185,185
McCann, Soriano and $1,000,000 on 7-22-09 for N. Schierholtz, C. Whitaker, J. Miller, E. Whiteside, T. Perez, B. Pill, E. Zambrano, R. Lormand, and B. Fahey.
So, as you can see I really used pitching minor league depth to my advantage. Something I don't plan on doing going forward. I will however, continue to claim players on waivers freely.
If you, or any other readers have other questions about how I got to where I am feel free to ask. It was fun looking back over all these deals.
